Reconciliation of the Rationalized Physical Data Model with the Data Requirements – Logical Design Data Model
An activity that includes comparing the Physical Data Model generated from the newly produced Data Requirements- Logical Design Model (DR-LDM) and the Rationalized Physical Data Model (RPDM) and to produce reports on the differences either of data structures, definitions, status, etc., especially those that may affect the proper use or functioning of the currently in place database. It also the final step in bringing the database to being fully reversed engineered and ready to be streamlined, if needed.
This is a new modeling activity that TDM proposes to facilitate database maintenance, and set the stage for future enhancements.
